Israel Pinheiro da Silva foi um político brasileiro, autoridade responsável pela construção de Brasília, e o primeiro prefeito do Distrito Federal. Foi um dos pioneiros da siderurgia no Brasil, e diretor da Companhia Cerâmica João Pinheiro. Apoiou a Revolução de 1930 e o Estado Novo de 1937.
